HOTEL With a minimalist interior decor which contrasts with the baroque ornamentation of its facade, the hotel is the first establishment of its kind on the Plaza de San Francisco de Asis. The building dates back to 1890, and it was renovated in 2010. The hotel offers a total of 27 rooms across 5 floors. Facilities at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and lift access to the rooms. LOCATION The hotel enjoys an excellent location surrounded by a classy city area. It is located in front of the convent of San Francisco de Asis. Nearby are the galleries Carmen Montilla and Los Oficios, as well as the Cafe de Oriente and La Lonja del Comercio, the old stock exchange of Havana. A little further away guests will find the Chocolate Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Cuban Ceramics in Calle la Amargura. The hotel is located around 1 km from the Capitolio and some 5 km from the Plaza de la Revolucion. The Barrio Vedado can be reached in around 8 minutes drive (or 15 minutes by public transport) and the beach at Playa Santa Maria is around 20 minutes drive (or 30 minutes by public transport) from the hotel. ROOM The comfortable rooms are beautifully decorated and offer individually regulated air conditioning, Internet access, satellite TV, a minibar, hairdryer, safe, telephone and DVD player. The en suite bathroom has a shower and bath with hot and cold water. Rooms have either double or king-size beds, and each room also has a balcony or terrace.
